Multi-Purpose Field
In 2019, Sprinturf completed one of the largest synthetic turf projects ever undertaken in the United States at the Hoover Met Complex in Hoover, Alabama. The expansion added four new baseball fields and five NCAA regulation-size multipurpose fields, creating more than 1 million square feet of synthetic playing surface for baseball, soccer, football, lacrosse, and large-scale tournament play.
The scale of the project required more than turf manufacturing. It required precise coordination, consistent quality control, and reliable execution across a complex outdoor field network. Sprinturf was selected for its large-project experience, integrated delivery approach, and quality-control process from pellet to play.
Working closely with excavation and landscape partners, Sprinturf helped expand the Hoover Met Complex into one of the Southeast’s most versatile sports destinations. Today, the complex serves youth, amateur, and community athletics through a broad facility network that includes outdoor fields, the Hoover Met Stadium, the Finley Center, tennis courts, an RV park, and family-focused recreation amenities.
The completed project gave Hoover a durable, high-use field system built to support major tournaments, daily programming, and a wide range of sports activity across one of Alabama’s premier outdoor-indoor sports complexes.
