- Include safety features such as a shock pad for impact absorption
- Commit to ongoing maintenance so the space stays usable for years to come
- Show evidence of community involvement and matching funds
- Preference is given to projects that replace an existing artificial turf field

What are the full program rules?
Eligible projects must use synthetic turf as the primary surfacing material and prioritize innovation, safety, and inclusive design. Applicants must be schools, local governments, or community organizations serving children and families. Sprinturf determines the amount of the grant. Recipients must match grant funds, engage the community, and commit to ongoing maintenance. Projects must be construction-ready within six months of the grant award. Recipients agree to participate in promotional efforts, including facility visits, media access, and testimonials. Preference may be given to projects with Sprinturf partnerships or long-term collaboration plans. The project should promote physical activity, social interaction, and health benefits. Applications are due October 30, 2026, recipients will be announced by November 30, 2026, and installation must be completed by December 31, 2027.
