The Colorado Springs Switchbacks are a professional, USL Championship division soccer team founded in 2014. Equipped with an old sod field at the time, the team wanted to upgrade to a FIFA-certified field, and Sprinturf proposed the ideal solution. We installed GreenPlay®, our organic infill, which enables synthetic turf fields to look, feel and perform like natural grass. With excellent performance characteristics, it helps reduce the field’s temperature and mimics a natural playing surface. It’s also one of the most frequently used infills in sports. The Switchbacks, extremely pleased with GreenPlay’s performance, continue to practice and play games on it to this day.
