D.C. Everest High School
Athletic Field Renovation

Weston, Wisconsin

About the Project

D.C. Everest Area School District completed a major athletic field renovation at D.C. Everest High School to modernize its outdoor sports facilities and create a durable, multi-sport synthetic turf venue capable of supporting a wide range of student athletics and community programming.

The project introduced a new Sprinturf synthetic turf system designed to accommodate football, soccer, softball, unified lacrosse, and mini-soccer activities while improving field durability, safety, and scheduling flexibility. The renovation was completed in partnership with Somerville Architects and Engineers, and construction manager The Boldt Company as part of the district’s broader facilities improvement initiatives.

The Challenge

The district needed a high-performance athletic surface capable of supporting intensive year-round use across multiple sports and age groups while minimizing maintenance demands and reducing weather-related downtime.

Because the facility serves a diverse athletic population. From varsity football and soccer to unified lacrosse and youth programming, the district required a synthetic turf system engineered for durability, athlete safety, and long-term playability. The project also needed to be completed efficiently during the summer construction window to prepare the facility for upcoming fall activities.

The Solution

Sprinturf supplied and installed a DFE Extreme synthetic turf system with PE thatch technology designed to provide enhanced fiber resiliency, improved infill stability, and consistent athletic performance across multiple sports applications.

Key project specifications included:

  • Turf Product: Sprinturf DFE Extreme with Thatch
  • Face Weight: 52 oz.
  • Pile Height: 2″
  • Infill: Sand and Rubber
  • Shock Pad: Brock SP-14

The Brock SP-14 shock pad was incorporated beneath the turf system to provide enhanced athlete impact attenuation and long-term field consistency.

The Result

The completed renovation delivered a modern, resilient athletic surface capable of supporting the district’s expanding athletic and community programming needs.

The Sprinturf DFE Extreme system with PE thatch and Brock SP-14 pad provides improved durability, consistent footing, enhanced drainage, and athlete-focused performance characteristics across a wide range of sports applications. The upgraded facility also increases scheduling flexibility, reduces maintenance demands, and extends field usability throughout Wisconsin’s changing seasonal conditions.

By investing in a multi-sport synthetic turf solution, D.C. Everest Area School District created a long-term athletic asset designed to support students, families, and the broader community for years to come.
