Unlike public schools, private schools do not receive taxpayer funding for facility improvements and capital projects. Every upgrade we make is funded through tuition, donations, fundraising efforts, and the generosity of our supporters. The LEAP Grant provided meaningful financial assistance that helped reduce the burden of this project and allowed us to move forward with a facility that will benefit our students for years to come.

This letter is written in support of Sprinturf and the history that we have in working with them on projects for our school. In particular, we have been very pleased with the installation of turf on our stadium field, which we use for a variety of activities (football, soccer, field hockey, and PE classes).

The project began with the bid process. Sprinturf offered what was easily the best bid. Not only were we very pleased with the dollar amount, but the specifications on the product and the warranty were superior to the other bids. We were also coordinating the project with the replacement of our track, and that was handled by Byrne & Jones. While Byrne & Jones does not do the turf work, they have worked with turf companies for many years, and as they provide the insurance for the overall project (turf installation and track replacement), it is very necessary for them to have extensive knowledge on turf products. We had them look at Sprinturf’s bid, they were extremely impressed by the dollar amount, quality of the product including the specifications, and the warranty. Their acknowledgement of those things convinced us to accept the Sprint Turf bid.

We have been nothing but impressed by the quality of the product. We have had the turf for four years, and it is still in terrific condition. Tom Fiala from Sprinturf has guided us on the care of the turf and given us outstanding customer advice. He also stops by frequently to check on it and ask us questions about how we care for the product. His customer service has been terrific.

As you can see the Sprinturf installation is a tremendous asset to our School System and the City of Richmond. The Sprinturf Construction Team was able to install their total system in six weeks, completing the project on schedule, August 2nd, for the start of football practice. Our installation was flawless with no punch list items; we did have a small change order requested by the school. You can tell we are well pleased with Sprinturf and can highly recommend Sprinturf as a Company, their Product, and Construction Personnel.

We selected Sprinturf over Field Turf and many other manufacturers because we concluded that Sprinturf most closely emulated natural grass in pristine condition. These fields will be used by our Major League Soccer team along with our many youth developmental academy teams.

The students have enjoyed playing on the new SprinTurf field during this school year. It has been a typical wet year, and no one has called me asking to return to the days of muddy clothes, and muddy footprints tracked up and down the hallways!

During the football season, we played Alpharetta High School and one of the coaches asked me if this was our new turf field at Harrison…he couldn’t beloeve how well the SPRINTURF field had held up over the past seven years with usage by football, soccer, lacrosse, and track and field teams, as well as daily usage by the physical education department at Harrison High School.

We are extremely pleased with the recently installed SPRINTURF Ultrablade DF turf field at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner, WA. The safety, playability and workmanship during installation were all excellent!
