Baseball
The Charleston Cougars are the storied Division 1 baseball team at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. When they needed a new field, one they could depend upon for both practices and games, they reached out to Sprinturf. After assessing the field site, and weighing various options with the team and college officials, we agreed on the installation of our UtraBlade DFE Extreme™ turf system. Equipped with a parallel long-slit fiber, it provides a dense canopy and virtually eliminates infill flyout, which is a common complaint among many athletes. The dual fiber system creates a surface that also provides predictable ball play. The Cougars and the College of Charleston now have the best of all possible worlds—a safe, high-quality, durable field that’ll last for years to come.
