Sprinturf helped develop the parallel long slit fiber systems back in 2004. In 2006, ITS started manufacturing its parallel long slit fiber for Sprinturf, and the legend known as Ultrablade was started. The fiber used in Sprinturf’s Ultrablade system has a proprietary fibrillation pattern that results in unsurpassed wear resistance and exceptional surface playability.

Sprinturf incorporates Exxon resin technology into its Ultrablade fiber, which provides unmatched fiber durability and UV resistance when compared to other fibers. Sprinturf has installed over 200 Ultrablade fields in the U.S. since 2006 without a single yarn failure. Installations include Utah State University, Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.
