TX - Pizza Hut Park is the official headquarters
of the Major League Soccer and US Youth Soccer
Association. FC Dallas plays here, as well as
local youth and adult leagues. The Hunt Sports
Group chose Sprinturf over every other turf company
available for not one but three athletic fields,
utilizing their Ultrablade™ and CoolFill™
technology. These fields, combined with the natural
grass fields, have finished construction and will
get the play time equal to about 17 athletic fields
in constant use. The eighteen-acre complex is
the first of five soccer facilities opening across
the USA in the next few years that will combine
an MLS soccer stadium with a community sports
park.
The
Hunt Sports Group, headed by the legendary Lamar
Hunt and the creators of the park complex, needed
to find a synthetic surface that would allow more
playing time for local events year round but also
keep the surface cool in the smoldering Texas
heat. Because the park has both synthetic as well
as natural grass fields, it was crucial that if
the natural grass fields became unusable due to
weather problems or overuse, the synthetic fields
would still be available.

The
complex hosts the MLS Cup, and will provide ample
playing time for the community as well as the
pros. The remaining fields will be used year-round
for: high school football, youth and adult amateur
soccer, soccer camps, clinics, and tournaments
on all levels (from local to international), pro
training camps, and community and corporate events.
