| With
significant progress being made on Idaho's latest
facilities upgrade (TWO brand-new, lighted, 75-yard
side-by-side Sprinturf artificial turf practice
fields), the finished product is beginning to
take form. Scheduled to be completed by the beginning
of fall football camp.

Construction
continues on Idaho's most current facilities upgrade,
which will effect the ENTIRE University of Idaho
student body, not just Vandal athletics. Scheduled
to be completed by the time fall football camp
begins, the project is progressing nicely.
VV.com
photographer and writer Larry Johnson was on campus
this week and submits this most recent round of
images of the project. Leveling and installation
of drainage systems continues as the fields begin
to take some serious form now. Among some of the
other details we've learned about this project
are plans for a fence encircling the side-by-side
75-yard fields, including an SEC-style "hedge"
growing along-side the fence, gates with the Idaho
logo, and logos painted on the field. Like the
recently completed locker rooms and weight room,
this is looking like a first-class upgrade for
Vandal athletics.
Enjoy
the images below. The series starts with a panning
view from left to right looking down at the fields
from above the new Iverson Strength and Speed
Center. The last 3 photos are a ground-level view
of the field.
It's
amazing how well the Palouse, and the University
of Idaho campus, photographs...especially this
time of year.
We'll
continue to update the project as progress is
made throughout the summer.
