Committed to providing athletes across the country with a safe playing environment, the company is delighted to recognize these accomplished individuals, who will be honored at the NFF’s Annual Chapter Awards Luncheon, presented by Sprinturf on December 4 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
Honorees are:
- Blake Lawrence (Shawnee Mission West High School - Overland Park, Kansas)
- Ryan Coffey (Burrillville High School - Harrisville, Rhode Island)
- Kellen Kiilsgaard (Auburn High School - Auburn, Washington)
- Matthew Stotler (Yorktown High School - Arlington, Virginia)
- Barton Dear (Oak High School - Spring, Texas).

In addition to recognizing the five student-athletes, the Sprinturf-sponsored awards luncheon will honor five exceptional individuals as the recipients of the 2007 NFF Chapter Leadership Awards:
- Michael (Mickey) Heinecken – Northeast Region (Vermont Chapter)
- Christopher Kearney – Midwest Region (Chicago Metro Chapter)
- Bill Sprinkle – West Region (Montana Chapter)
- Chris Vaughan – South Region (TD Club of Houston Chapter)
- Ed Watto – East Region (Lehigh Valley Chapter)
Later that evening, the NFF will hold its 2007 Annual Awards Dinner, celebrating the organization's 60th Anniversary. The evening will be highlighted by the induction of 14 of college football's greatest legends in to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Additionally, several awards will be bestowed that evening, including the Gold Medal, the Distinguished American Award and more than $300,000 will be granted to the 15 recipients of the NFF's highly prestigious National Scholar-Athlete Awards. The members of the 2007 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class & Draddy Trophy Finalists are: Alex Brink (Washington State); John Carlson (Notre Dame); Dennis Dixon (Oregon); Dallas Griffin (Texas); Mike Klinkenborg (Iowa); J Leman (Illinois); Brandon Renkart (Rutgers); Paul Smith (Tulsa); and Jacob Tamme (Kentucky) from the Football Bowl Subdivision; Nick Clark (Texas State); and Brandon Cramer (Dayton) from the Football Championship Subvision; Michael Eubanks (Delta State University, Miss.); and Danny Woodhead (Chadron State, Neb.) from Division II; and Eric Safran (Mount Union College, Ohio); and Jake Weller (Illinois College) from Division III.
